Having had a bit of a sabbatical, I’m getting back into the blogging business and as previous followers might have noticed, there is a subtle change in branding colours. I have swapped the blue of Edward Mellor Auctions for the red of SDL Auctions. For any new followers, here’s a quick run-through of who I am and what I do.
I began my property career back in 2005 and in my twelve years before SDL I covered pretty-much every role within property auctions. My most senior role before now was as an Auction Consultant where I would advise investors on various property investment models in the North West and offer a helping hand to auction buyers new to the game. From viewing the properties, checking legal packs and helping with bidding, right through to picking up the keys on completion day – I thrive on the auction journey start to finish.
Last year I was crowned The Negotiator’s ‘Rising Star of the Year’ at their prestigious award ceremony, held at the London Hilton on Park Lane, in recognition for my work in property auctions both for buyers and sellers.
Then this May I was delighted to take up a new position with SDL Auctions, who are one of the biggest auction networks in the UK, as part of their expansion into Manchester and the North West. Exciting times are ahead, starting with our first Manchester auction is being held this week!
These blogs will cover all things ‘property auction’ including advice, tips, testimonials and things to look out for when buying and selling at auction.
